10 Barrel Brewing

Bend, Oregon

Working closely with 10 Barrel’s owners, Stacey created a unique layout for the 2,700 sq. foot existing building that maximized space for the restaurant’s dining and brew-tasting scene. The Brewery’s design goals were coordinated with the constraints of the City of Bend’s Planning Department, including the facilitation of a Shared Parking Agreement to address parking demands. The existing building and site had non-conforming ADA issues, yet cost-effective solutions were designed to remediate accessibility barriers.

A majority of the existing structure was reused while conforming the building to the latest building code requirements efficiently. The design incorporates the desired feel and amenities that the clients wished for, and includes the large garage door openings and enlargement of the main dining area.

The inside/outside bar takes public engagement to a new level, and the restaurant now welcomes visitors from the sidewalks and the streets with its energetic atmosphere. The nightlife and community activity on Bend’s west side has increased substantially since the building’s renovation was completed in 2010.
