Mallory Torchio

Design Professional

Mallory joins Stemach Design with 5+ years of experience working as an Intern Architect, Interior Designer, and Product Engineer. Born and raised in Hubbard, Ohio, she’s been designing from a very young age. Re-decorating her childhood home, creating mood boards for family members, and sketching colorful floor plans out of magazines became everyday hobbies for the aspiring designer. She attended Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, where she earned both a BS and Masters in Architecture.

Mallory's passion took a turn towards interior design thanks to her roles at multiple firms in Sharon, Pennsylvania, where she gained valuable experience working on commercial, institutional, and residential projects. She is experienced in all phases of architectural projects, from the ground breaking to the finishing touches of interior projects. Her acute sense of detail was developed while working as a Product Engineer for a multinational case and cabinet manufacturer in Edinboro, PA.

Together with her husband, one year old son, dog, and three cats, Mallory made the cross country trek from Ohio to Oregon in search of a new adventure. She loves her new environment and enjoys hikes with her family, painting and photographing her new surroundings, and exploring all Bend has to offer. Mallory is working towards her NCIDQ licensing and is excited to share her knowledge and passion with a young, vibrant firm.
