Rachel Stemach

Owner + Architect

A headshot of Rachel

Since her formative years at Bend Senior High and Central Oregon Community College, Rachel has cultivated a passion for drawing and design. After obtaining her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Idaho she ventured to New England where she gained extensive architectural experience on complex projects ranging from correctional facilities to adaptive reuse of historic buildings.

Upon returning to Bend, Rachel contributed her architectural knowledge to urban infill multi-story buildings, elementary and post-secondary schools, senior living facilities, as well as smaller but highly-technical commercial tenant improvements and health care clinics. In 2011, Rachel and her husband Stacey participated in the Living Cities Design Challenge, which rekindled her passion for urban design. She is the architect of record on dozens of local restaurants, offices, medical, and retail tenants. She prides herself on technical proficiency, thoroughness, attention to detail, and historical correctness.

When Rachel isn’t practicing architecture you can find her spending time with her husband enjoying Central and Eastern Oregon or researching historic sites throughout the high desert.
