A true testament to the sustainable and environmentally-conscious culture of the Pacific Northwest, this two-story residence on the west side of Bend is trim, efficient, and constructed using a substantial amount of recycled materials. Stemach Design + Architecture designed the footprint of this home to fit within a tight envelope of energy-efficiency, achieving passive-solar heating and cooling through strategic site placement that maximizes southern exposure. In close collaboration with the Contractor, this house is the first of several homes built like this along the 16 block of Fresno Avenue.
