The Box Factory

The 104-year-old former Brooks Scanlon Lumber Company box and crate factory is experiencing new growth and uses as new tenants move in. In addition to tenant improvements for nearly every suite, Stemach Design + Architecture has led the design and building code compliance effort for the revitalization of the shell building, including a full repair and upgrade of the existing fire sprinkler systems, seismic structural upgrades, and fire code compartmentalization – all of which enable businesses to safely occupy this historic structure. Tenant improvements by SDA include Immersion Brewing, Bledsoe Family Winery, The Brown Owl, Black Diamond, Adored Tattoo, Miyagi Ramen, Kellcon Construction, West Side Barber, Sekse Fitness, Riff Coffee, River Pig, Fix and Repeat, Valentine’s Deli, Danner Boots, Bespoke Bridal, Borgo Rosati, Gear Fix and Stemach Design & Architecture’s own offices.
