Nest is a pendant lighting fixture designed for Mary Albright and installed in the lobby of 18 NW Oregon in downtown Bend. The piece is made of Alder and powder-coated steel and illuminated using LED strips. It draws a total of 147 watts of electricity and is installed on a daylight sensor for added energy savings. The combination of form and function that defines this piece won Stemach Design + Architecture the 2013 Best of the High Desert Award for Functional Art.
