This affordable housing complex consists of 20 buildings similar in design and construction. The existing buildings had water intrusion issues with exterior deck to wall connections and stair railing connections. Utilizing California’s Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC), Stemach Design + Architecture was able to perform some much-needed renovations to these buildings. The scope of work included design of new exterior siding and weather barrier, as well as new roof membrane and water proofing details for the exterior decks.
