Unofficial Logging Co.

The design of this new recreational ax throwing facility, Unofficial Logging Co. unites the rich timber and logging history of Central Oregon with a modern industrial twist that hinges on subtle yet significant details from the rustic burned pine targets to the custom axe-shaped bar joists. The Stemach Design team demolished the existing layout of the suite, once a commercial office, and constructed new demising walls to create efficient circulation from the throwing areas to the seating area and bar. Air ducts were left exposed and painted black, tables, chairs and lighting fixtures are also dark and minimalistic echoing the early 20th century industrial history of the building and enhancing the raw materials used at the forefront of the design.
