Stemach Design + Architecture was recently given the opportunity to design a new ultra-modern Japanese restaurant in Downtown Bend’s Historic O’Kane Building. Chomp Chomp offers an exceptional Japanese dining experience and ramen takeout counter. The project included new seating booths and benches designed to create niche dining areas and a ramen take-out/prep station with a street-side pickup window. Stemach Design + Architecture was also able to make strategic use of the 349 square-foot upper level mezzanine increasing capacity and giving the space a sweeping ambiance.

The 2,060 square-foot restaurant features a custom bar-to-ceiling liquor display constructed of reclaimed wood blending together the historic characteristics of the building with its new contemporary atmosphere.
